“I am here just to share this Bliss, knowledge,
Energy that is overflowing each and every moment from the very source of Life
itself…from the IS fullness. In this sharing my whole being is gratified. That
is why I am grateful to you.” – POORNA
Viswanathan,
as his parents named him was born in a middle class Indian family in October
1973 in South India. From a very young age he was distinctly attracted towards
the inner world, with burning questions like ‘What is this life?’, ‘Why I am
here?’, ‘What is that I really want?’, ‘What is my search?’ and so on. A
continuous inner voice naturally pulled him within and nothing of the outer
world held much interest or fascination. So philosophy, psychology and
spirituality became the major interests from a young age. He always preferred to
be in aloneness, contemplating the inner world, and this kept him away from the
busy outer world!
In 1991 he completed his Professional diploma in Electronics and communication
engineering. After the completion of his formal education he did not go for a
regular profession or any higher studies. The teachings of Ramakrishna
Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda influenced him a lot in the search of that
which was burning within always. He worked in a few places but he never stayed
long anywhere. He couldn’t lead the general kind of social life and decided to
take his burning questions seriously or rather they possessed him seriously and
the questioning became his quest and he decided to experiment to realize the
answers in his own life.
He integrated himself in the spiritual search and day by day it was reaching the
peak as a flame. He joined various spiritual organizations, studied different
paths, practiced different techniques of yoga and performed different rituals
and tapas. He stayed with different sadhus and spiritual teachers and learned a
lot from them but he never felt the ‘freedom’ that would be the one and only
solution to all his problems and questions.
The path was tedious and there was a long way to go…and all alone. He practiced
modern meditation techniques derived from different religions and systems and
therapies to deepen body - mind - spirit harmony. For years together he was
practicing meditations of various schools like Tantra, Yoga, Zen, Sufism,
Buddhism and so on. In 1999 he had some mystical experiences which deepened his
search and ENLIGTENMENT became his utmost necessity.
In the year 2000, Nithyananda, a living enlightened master pulled him towards
His compassionate energy field, and Viswanathan lived under the feet of
Nithyananda for years together, in his ashram, to learn or rather to unlearn!
Viswanathan was initiated in various paths. He underwent many mystical
experiences and transforming moments in the meditative presence of the master,
Nithyananda.
In 2007 he came out of the ashram to drop all search once and for all and
realized the self spirited experience that he calls the ultimate realization of
‘ FREEDOM ’ in January 2007. As he says, “At last I realized an utter
relaxation, no more questioning, no more quest, no more practices, STOP.
RELAX.ATION. A complete transformation from the all the past. There is no more
identity with the old past and that old guy…I started to live in this utter
Relaxation, Silence, inner Bliss. I call this state “a state of IS FULL NESS”.
Poorna, an enlightened mystic, is now sharing his moments in all their many
dimensions and thus spreading Silence, Inner joy, and Love to the whole of
humanity. In that vision he started a non-profit organization named “Life Sutras
Foundation” in March 2007.
